Evils, supernatural incidents, haunted places and ghosts are not just a thing of imagination or horror movies but are rather some things which may infact be real. While a lot of people don’t believe in evil spirits and ghosts, there are many who argue otherwise. It is a fact that those who have experienced the action of these spirits do believe in them but those who haven’t thought that there is no such thing as ghosts. But one thing which asserts on the existence of these supernatural powers is the long list of haunted places in the world. Yes, there is no dearth of haunted places around the world and the following is a list of the 10 most haunted of them.

  1. Changi Beach, Singapore

This beach in Singapore was the war ground during the 2nd world war and is considered the most haunted location in the entire world. This location witnessed mass killings and deaths of Chinese soldiers. Even till this day, sounds of crying and screaming can be heard by those who visit this beach, especially during the nighttime.

This college campus is considered the most haunted in the world and is also the second most haunted place. The reason for this is that the campus is spread over five cemeteries which form a pentagon shape. Many ghost sightings have been reported by students and teachers and this is one reason why many students withdraw admission from this university.

  1. Screaming Tunnel, Niagara falls, Ontario

The screaming tunnel rightfully gets its name from the sounds that can be heard by those who visit it. The tunnel is located off the Warner road and runs under the railway tracks which link New York City and Niagara falls. If legend is to be believed, if a person stands in the middle of the tunnel at midnight and light a match then the light will go off and a girl’s screams can be heard.

According to Indian legend, a black magic tantrik cursed the Bhangarh fort or palace so that any person who crosses the palace will be trapped inside for centuries without rebirth. Another story related to this haunted place is that all houses near the area are without roofs since if a house is built with a roof, the roof automatically collapses. Those who visit this place experience anxiety and it is said that those who visit it after dark never return back.

This cemetery in England is the number one ghost spot in the country and has a very chilling atmosphere. It has an eerie environment, crooked gravestones, dark overgrown passages and sounds that can be heard only in the night.

From musty smells to creaky floorboards and from an eerie atmosphere to unexplained movements, this place in England can turn cynics into believers of ghosts and evils. This place is apparently built on a pagan burial ground and those who visit it come out of it with an unsettling experience.

Monte Cristo is a haunted mansion in Australia which has become very popular across the world due to many ghost sightings and stories surrounding it. According to legend, Mrs. Crawley, the owner of this house never stepped out of the house except for 2 times in 23 years after the death of her husband. After she died, a ghost haunted the place and especially her former room. Body less ghosts, faces in windows and ghostly sounds can be experienced by the people who go near it.

This amazing looking castle attracts hundreds of tourist’s everyday but if legend is to be believed, this castle is infact haunted. Echoes of the dead can be heard in the castle and around it and sightings of ghost dogs and a headless drummer have been reported. The castle’s prison cells are especially the most haunted area of the castle as many prisoners of the French 7 years war of American war of independence were locked there and they eventually died.

Ghosts of some of the people who die in this place still haunt it, making it one of the most haunted places in the world. This is a hospital and people believe that patients who had hope of living but died eventually turned into ghosts here. Banging of doors and windows can still be heard here.

2 famous female ghosts reportedly haunt this 14th century castle. The two female ghosts-white lady and blue lady still seem to move around the castle and have been sighted by a number of visitors.
